Tina Newton

Tina Newton is the owner of Blue Moon Fiber Arts and the braniac behind Socks That Rock, Sock Camp and the Sock Summit.  She knits, spins, has forgotten more about dyeing than a lot of other people will ever know, has a thing for chickens and answers to the name of “depraved dyer” most days.  There’s not much she likes more than socks, and that’s good news for everyone. She lives in Oregon with her lovely husband and three charming children, all of whom tolerate the wool as best they can.

Classes

Colorful Stitches

A workshop led by Anna Zilboorg with help from her trusty side kick Tina Newton. In this workshop we will step outside of our preconceived color theories and notions and work with our color desires.  Our goal is to enable knitters to choose with confidence and conviction the colors they want and the stitches that work best to showcase them.  Choosing from a large spectrum of colors everyone will create a palette of their very own. We will then mix and match them in various combinations and finally add in texture with a variety of stitch patterns. The color heart of this class centers on personal choices and hands on manipulation.
