Jill Draper

Jill Draper is a knitter, hand dyer & spinner living in the Hudson Valley of New York state.  She has a sort of fancy degree from a sort of fancy art school and spends most of her time in galoshes.  Jill thinks everyone should be able to knit and to further this she has taught hundreds of people how, only a few billion left to go.  You can read her rambling, mostly fiber craft related blog, check out her shop or read her patterns & articles in magazines to see what she’s been up to.

Re-knittable Heels and Toes

Using percentages as guides, you can knit a short row heel and toe onto any sock cuff you’d like. Short row heels and toes have many benefits but one of the best is that if you do develop a pesky hole in either of those most beaten-up places the stitches are easily cut, picked up & a new heel or toe can be reworked.  Instructions will be given for toe-up & top-down techniques. Never make socks too precious to be worn again!

Class Level:Intermediate
Class Skills:This class is a "light" intermediate - students should be able to knit & purl easily and the ability to 'read' your stitches will help.
Cost:$75
Class Length:3 Hours
