Heather Ordover is a contributor to Spin Off magazine, Weavezine.com, Cast-On.com, and is the host of the long-running podcast Craftlit: A Podcast for Crafters Who Love Books. She lives, teaches, knits, spins, and writes in Tucson with her extremely supportive husband, two goofy sons, a couple of loving dogs, and a single melancholy skink.

Come to this class for a brief overview of what podcasts are and how to get them onto your own computer or mp3 player (iPods not required). Fun. Easy. No needles necessary (but always welcome). Bring questions, concerns, issues, gripes, and lauds. Always lauds.

Rank amateurs and curious lookee-loos welcome. In this class, we will examine how podcasts work, discuss what an RSS feed is and how to get one, describe the trials of site feed hosting, and evaluate recording equipment and software.Oh, and a few lucky folks will get to hear their own recorded voice! (You want it. You know you want it!) No needles necessary (but always welcome).

If you have ever knit a pair of socks, investing time and tears into a piece of art that you joyfully slip onto your dainty foot only to find that—horrors—the heel is too loose or too tight or Just Not Right, then this class is for you! This session will give you the formula to substitute any one of five sock heels (Dutch, French, German, Welsh and Sherman) into any gauge sock you are knitting. The class will get you five completed socklettes (an inch of ribbing, a heel, a gusset if necessary) that you can try on and wear so you will leave knowing once-and-for-all which heel is the Heel For You! Aside from being darn cute, these are also great pedi-socks!
