Chrissy Gardiner designs knitting patterns for her Gardiner Yarn Works pattern line as well as various publications such as Interweave Knits, Knitty and Twist Collective, from her home in Portland, Oregon. While she designs all sorts of knitted items, she has a particular fondness for and obsession with socks.

Conquer Short-Row Heels!
This little workshop will help students overcome their fear of the wrap and turn using my special method. They’ll also learn to incorporate short row heels into any sock they make. A resource list will be given so that students can explore other short-row techniques on their own.

Favorite Toe-Up Bind-Offs
One of the trickiest parts of knitting toe-up socks is finding the perfect bind-off. Students will learn three different stretchy bind-offs in this class so their toe-up socks will never cut off their circulation again!

Textured Colorwork Socks
This class will introduce knitters to the Bohus style of colorwork, which utilizes knit and purl stitches to create a multi-dimensional color pattern not attainable by using knit stitches alone. Students will learn the basics of two-handed stranding as well as tips for incorporating their own textured colorwork designs into a basic sock framework.
