Angela Davis, a Craft Yarn Council of America certified hand knitting instructor, is a popular guest teacher at yarn shops, fiber festivals and conferences. She has taught knitting on European and Japanese tour buses, started a knitting-for-charity club at a notorious inner-city high school in Los Angeles, and has knitted props for the television show Mad Men.
Angela is a returning Sock Summit teacher who currently lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband and three sons, teaches classes up and down the west coast, and loves teaching beginning sock knitters because it makes her feel like their ambassador to the sock side.
How to spiff up Plain Jane socks with a lace cuff, hot rod flame cuff, a ruffle, or a picot edging after the fact without compromising the stretch of the ribbing. We will also reveal how to add a bit of edgy fun to a sock that will allow even those with the most conservative dress codes to have a great secret. Because you will be practicing on 3” cuffs, you will get to sport an awesome wristband or two after class.
