Turkish Stitches (Lecture)
In this lecture, Anna will be explaining and exploring the vivid and varied world of Turkish Sock knitting and the stitches, patterns, and architectures particular to this part of the world - where socks are way more than something to keep your feet warm. After explaining the origins and history of the techniques and ideas, Anna will have a display of these art socks with her and will welcome your questions and curiosity about these most unique of socks.

If you would like to try some Turkish stitches you will need:At least two colours of smooth, fingering weight yarn, and appropriate needles for your gauge to work in the round. | |

If you would like to try some Turkish stitches, please cast on 48 stitches, and working in the round, complete a few rounds of garter stitch or ribbing. | |
