Learn about Estonian knitting traditions through their socks. Students will begin a sock, learning some interesting Estonian techniques: a special cast on; unique cuff treatment; and knitted braids. A variety of Estonian sock styles will be discussed.

There will be a class pack with the yarn you need for this workshop available from Carolina Homespun in the marketplace. You will need to bring the class pack and a set of 5 #2 (2.75mm) double point needles about 8” long (you may bring circulars if you wish) as well as markers, scissors, darning needle, note paper and pen or pencil. | |
