Classes
Sock Exotica: Silk, Cashmere, and Friends
This class will show you how to spin and finish unusual fibers to make exquisite socks. We’ll look at silk and silk blends, cashmere, and new fibers like Tencel and bamboo.

This class has a materials fee of $15. Please bring this amount to class (exact change, and in cash please). Students should bring their wheel with all its parts. A niddy noddy, a measuring tape, and a kate would be helpful. Bring at least 4 bobbins. If you have small hand held combs, a dog brush or a flicker bring them along, too, but don’t go out and buy anything specially for this class. Bring along a selection of needles that you like for sock knitting and a needle gauge. You are welcome to bring a spindle and its plying equipment. | |
