This class will make wonderful socks for your feet from the sheep of your choice. We’ll look at a variety of fleeces that have great sock potential; we’ll look at what makes a good sock fleece, how to buy one and where that’s possible. We’ll look at all the things you’ll need to know to spin from the fleece to your foot with grace and dexterity.

This class has a materials fee of $10. Please bring this amount to class (exact change, and in cash please). Students should bring their wheel with all its parts. A niddy noddy, a measuring tape, and a kate would be helpful. Bring at least 4 bobbins. If you have small hand held combs, a dog brush or a flicker bring them along, too, but don’t go out and buy anything specially for this class. Bring along a selection of needles that you like for sock knitting and a needle gauge. You are welcome to bring a spindle and its plying equipment. | |
