Come learn the fundamentals of sock knitting while completing an adorable mini-sock on double pointed needles. If you like to learn techniques in the traditional way first or if you already knit socks on two circulars but want to give DPNs a go, then come join us. You will learn to knit a basic sock and we will talk about how the techniques you learn can be used to knit socks of all sizes. We will also turn your mini-sock into a charming accessory to wow your friends at the Sock Summit. Come on, try it… All your friends are doing it….

A set of size US 7 /4.5mm DPNs. A fist-sized ball of light-colored, smooth, worsted weight wool. Note: Wool is nice and forgiving for this project. Superwash is fine if that is what you have on hand. Please Also Bring: Scissors. A few locking stitch markers or coil-less safety pins. A small ruler or tape measure. A tapestry needle. A small crochet hook (just in case!). Your sense of humor…this will be FUN! AND, if you’d like, please bring a skein of sock yarn that you bought from a Sock Summit vendor because you just couldn’t resist…we’ll have a little show and drool, I mean show and tell. | |
