Learn to do the math required to design a pair of knee-highs to fit you. Use a simple formula to knit yourself a pair of custom legs! Discussion will include converting your favourite sock pattern into a knee-high.Different types of shaping will also be discussed including back of leg, side, and within the pattern. We will also address common fitting problems with socks/knee-highs. Questions about specific issues are encouraged. The math is easy, but bring a calculator.

Bring along a pair of socks that fit you perfectly through the foot (commercial socks will work as well as handknit). Also bring a pair of problem socks if you have them, and we will trouble shoot them in the class. A tape measure or ruler, pen and notebook would also be helpful. | |
