Classes
Knit a Mini Turkish Sock
Based on a pair of authentic Turkish socks which LynnH owns, these include a swirl toe in four parts and a band heel (flap under the heel, no gusset). We will discuss many colorwork patterns used in Turkish socks, and inspect socks from Turkey which inspired Lynn. You will go home with a richly-detailed handout as well as a nearly-complete mini sock knit in class. Inspired by a pattern written originally for the Heels and Toes Gazette.

Bring at least 2 contrasting colors of light- to medium-colored yarn (small balls are enough), all in the same weight. A set of 5 DPNs appropriate to the size of the yarn. Class taught on Double-Pointed Needles (DPNs). Other needle formats welcome if you are experienced with them enough to adjust on your own. | |
