Four Ways to Start a Toe-up Sock

Want to try toe-up socks, but not sure how to start? Tired of the same old toe-up toe? Learn four ways to start a toe-up sock: wedge toe, star toe, patch toe, and short-row toe. Each toe will be started with Judy’s Magic Cast-On and no waste yarn will be needed.

Class Level:Beginner to intermediate
Class Skills:Students need to know Judy's magic cast on and have some experience knitting in the round.
Cost:$70.00
Class Length:3 hours
Class Materials:

Yarn: 100 yards of smooth, light-colored yarn in fingering, sport or worsted weight (no bulky or lace) 
Needles: One long circular needle (40” to 47”), OR two shorter circular needles (16” to 24”), OR one set DPNs, in a size that’s appropriate for the yarn. 
Optional stitch holders, we will be only knitting toes and there may not be time to bind off in class.
If you would like to preserve your work, please bring either stitch holders to transfer the toe to, or 4 sets of needles to work with.

Homework:

Learn Judy’s Magic Cast-On and become confident in its use. There will not be time to learn it in class.
