This class is a one hour wonder that repeats three times in each 3 hour block it is offered in.

If possible, please make and bring a swatch (details in “homework”) knit with light solid coloured smooth worsted weight wool/wool blend yarn. About 2 yards of medium solid contrasting coloured, smooth worsted weight wool/wool blend yarn. A blunt tipped darning needle with an eye large enough to accommodate your yarn. Scissors. Pen. Optional: Bring a clean sock with a hole in it for show-and-tell or discussion purposes. Note: For walk-in’s who may have not had an opportunity to make a swatch, there will be a limited number of swatches available for a wee price. ($2) Please have a darning needle none-the-less. | |

To make your swatch: Gauge: about 5 stitches to the inch. (Not vital.) Cast on 20 stitches. Rows 1-4: Knit. (Results in two garter ridges) Row 5: Knit. Row 6: Knit 2, Purl 16, Knit 2. Repeat rows 5 and 6 until the swatch measures about 3.5” in length, then Knit 4 rows and bind off. | |
