Crocheted Room Shoes from Japan

There’s a fad in Japan for making “room shoes,” which are slippers worn indoors on tatami mat floors.  These are a fun variation for your sock knitting. We’ll use a free online pattern as a basis to begin designing our own, with custom-sized soles, picked-up sides and embellished closures.  The crochet stitches are all charted with international crochet symbols.
