Blossom Dearies Beautiful Beaded Booties

Knit a beaded baby sock that will be fit for a prince or princess.  Exciting things happen when beads are introduced into small precious knitted items, and we will be a witness to this magical process.  We start at the toe and make our merry way upward, employing the gusset/heel flap structure, finishing with a beaded picot at the top. You will learn all the skills necessary to complete the bootie, but you will probably not finish the bootie within the class.

Class Skills:Students need to have successsfully knit in the round, using their choice of double pointed needles, circular needles, or magic loop. In their previous knitting experience, students should have successfully completed a sock.

Class Materials:

This class has a materials fee of $15.  Please bring this amount (exactly, in cash please) to the teacher. She’ll give you a kit containing beads and yarn.

One .6mm (US 14) crochet hook.
Choice of needles for knitting in the round, 2.25 mm (US 1) or size to obtain 30-32 sts/4” over stockinette st in the round.
Stitch markers.
The usual simple notions: scissors, darning needle.
