ST-1 and the teachers have worked very carefully together to try and come up with an assortment of classes that reflect the world of possibility in sock knitting. Here, you'll find classes for advanced knitters looking for a challenge to hone their skills to a razor sharp point, classes for knitters who would like to "go pro" and begin designing, classes for intermediate knitters who would like to have more skills to draw on -- and there's even classes for knitters who have never knit a sock before and have no idea what they're doing. There's classes for spinners who would like to spin better sock yarn, or start spinning sock yarn... there's even a class for people who would like to spin but have no idea where to start. We're pretty sure we have everybody covered.
We have three-hour (half day) classes that cost $70.
We have six-hour (full day) classes for $140.
We also have "one hour wonders" and these are mini-classes of only an hour, covering an important technique that we think you should know, but doesn't take three hours to learn. These classes are only $15, and you can sign up for them ahead, or we'll take walk-in's off the street. 1 hour wonders run all day at the summit, so if you're just visiting for a day, or you're popping in to see the marketplace, you can be a student too.
Materials will be needed for many of these classes. In the majority of them, we'll be providing you with both a detailed list so that you can assemble what you need yourself, or the name of a vendor at the summit who can set you up with it. In a very few exceptions, a materials fee will be added to the class cost, and the stuff given to you when you get there.
Some of the classes will have homework that you need to accomplish before you come. We'll make sure you know what it is with plenty of time to spare.
